A Step-by-Step Guide to the DMW Mobile App and Securing Your OFW Pass

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has rolled out an improved mobile app designed to make it easier for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to manage essential tasks on the go. Through the DMW Mobile App, you can effortlessly create your e-Registration account, secure your OFW Information Sheet, and generate the OFW Pass, which serves as a highly convenient digital alternative to the traditional Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC).

Note: Currently, the app and its full features are only available in limited countries.

If you are ready to transition to the digital OFW Pass, here is a complete step-by-step guide to signing up and verifying your account on the DMW Mobile App:

Phase 1: Downloading and Initial Setup

• Step 1: Download the application by searching for "DMW Mobile" on the App Store or Google Play.
• Step 2: Open the app. You can swipe left to read through the introductory screens until you reach the login portal, or simply click "Skip" for convenience.
• Step 3: Once you are at the login portal, look for the "Sign up" button at the bottom of the screen and click it.

Phase 2: Account Creation and Security

• Step 4: Provide a valid e-mail address or a mobile number that you want to associate with your account.
• Step 5: Check your email or messages for a One-Time Password (OTP) and input the code into the app immediately.
• Step 6: Create a strong password for your account. To be accepted, your password must meet the following strict security requirements:
  • At least 8 characters long.
  • At least one uppercase letter (A-Z).
  • At least one lowercase letter (a-z).
  • At least one number (0-9).
  • At least one special character.
• Step 7: After confirming your password, a screen will prompt you that your account has been successfully created. Click "OK" to proceed.

Phase 3: Profile Completion and Passport Verification

• Step 8: You will now be asked to provide basic personal information, including your first name, last name, and civil status. Crucial Tip: Make sure to enter valid details that exactly match the information printed on your passport. You must also add a profile photo before clicking submit.
• Step 9: After submitting your information, the app will prompt you with the DMW Mobile App Data Privacy Policy. Read it carefully and click agree.
• Step 10: Finally, you must provide a photo of your passport. If you already have a clear, saved copy on your phone, click "Upload". If you do not, click "Capture" to take a live photo of your physical passport.
• Step 11: Once your passport is uploaded, you are all set to use the DMW Mobile App!
